At FFFF, we understand that it takes a village to care for a child. Our mission is to come alongside foster families and agency workers to fill in the gaps.
Frontline will be known in the community as a source of comfort, a dependable resource for foster parents who desire others to walk alongside them as they care for children from hard places.
We take a holistic approach to foster care. Addressing not only the physical needs of children but also their emotional, social, and educational needs. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and we work diligently to help foster parents make that a reality.
Since our inception, we have supported hundreds of children and their families. Our impact extends beyond the children we serve, as we also work to raise awareness about foster care and advocate for positive change in the child welfare system.
Frontline Foster Family Foundation evolved when two local foster parents were leaning on each other for support. Both were parenting children from hard places who had significant needs. They began sharing parenting tips and were a sounding board to each other.
Understanding agencies can only do so much, both foster parents were frustrated with the lack of support and began brainstorming ways foster parents could benefit from additional support within the community. They came together and created Frontline Foster Family Foundation with the hope other foster parents could feel supported and have a place to go for resources. FFFF hopes to continue their mission for many years to come.
At FFFF, we believe that every child in foster care deserves the best possible care and support. We are committed to providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children, and to working collaboratively with families and communities to achieve our mission.
We provide foster families with individualized items needed specific to the child being placed. We hope to bring back the visitation room and once again add training opportunities to those fostering.
Our goal is to ensure that every child receives the care and support they need to thrive and succeed and every foster family feels supported and surrounded by others in the community.
Our team is comprised of experienced and compassionate professionals who are dedicated to improving the lives of children in foster care. Some of them are previous and/or current foster parents themselves. We work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care and support to every child and family we serve.
There are many ways to get involved with FFFF and make a difference in the lives of children and families in need. Whether you want to become a foster parent, volunteer your time, or make a donation, we welcome your support.
*** FFFF believes everyone can do something to positively impact the foster care community!
When a child is moved from their family of origin or from foster family to foster family, each move is a traumatic experience. Our Comfort Kit contains items needed the first few days a child is in a new home. This gives the foster parent the opportunity to focus on connection and support versus shopping for necessities.
Agency workers can reserve our sensory-friendly visitation space for supervised visits with biological parents and siblings at no cost.
Temporarily unavailable as of July 1, 2024. Stay tuned! We are working diligently on getting this service back. Frontline believes you will be satisfied with the new space once everything is complete!
We accept all sizes of new and like-new clothing items. Undergarments, socks and shoes must be new and in the original packaging or with tags attached.
New in package hygiene products make a great addition to our resource closet. Items can range from diapers, pull-ups, wipes, feminine products to deodorants, shampoo and conditioner. Styling products for ethnic hair types are welcomed!
Books, blankets, and toys are always a hit with the kids! Please send items that appear new and unused.
Every child deserves to move their belongings to a new home with dignity. Gently used suitcases and bags are used to deliver our Comfort Kits to a child in need. The luggage stays with the child on their foster care journey to permanency.
We accept bouncy seats, infant bathtubs, activity centers, bumbo seats, strollers and high chairs in new and like-new condition. New or gently used baby bottles are also accepted.
We can accept unopened, and not expired baby formula & food. To be a good steward of these items, we will only accept a few at a time to ensure there is a need present within the families we serve and that the formula does not just sit on a shelf expiring before it is used.
When a need arises for any of these items, we share the request with our Village via social media. Donors purchase the item and we have it shipped directly to you.
FFFF partners annually with The Crossing Church both in Macomb, IL and Monmouth, IL to bring joy to children during the holidays. Gifts are bought by congregation members at both The Crossing's Macomb and Monmouth campuses.
